Individual and collective representation: the organisational form of higher education lobbying in the European Union

Recent scholarly work on higher education institutions (HEIs) within an EU context has focused how universities and their core activities have been affected by policy. The organisation of HEIs in order to shape European decision-making education, mainly through presence Brussels, received much less attention. This article therefore focuses organise representation explains choice for a specific organisational form, distinguishing between individual (i.e. Brussels office), collective via association) mixed (the combination both office membership association). After systematically mapping the form 250 HEIs, we apply methods design test our hypotheses derived from previous research interest lobbying.
